Back in April I had a session with little J when he was just 2 weeks old. It was fantastic to see how much he's grown in 3 months. He was full of character, tons of giggles, coo's and smiles. We even introduced him to grass. The weather was perfect and at first he didn't like it one bit... But then we realized the sun was in his face and he calmed right down. What a lil trooper.
The session was fantastic and I even was treated to a full sushi dinner.
I am now going to say it out loud. I will photograph your family for sushi. There it is. I said it. :)
Last but not least... See what I mean about character?

Rose of Sharon... Battle scars from nature
Flawed with several imperfections doesn't always mean it's not perfect in my eyes. Everyone has imperfections but deserve some attention. Last week I was on my way out the door for a Lughnassa Ritual, as I was crossing my front lawn I noticed all of my Sharons were in full bloom. White and purple buds with their lovely centers just stood out but this one caught my eye. I immediately ran to my camera and started snapping.
Black and white shows the imperfections in a bold dramatic way. Enjoy.
Chewed up and spit out but still it blooms beautifully.

Aleyah: Reunited with Auntie Deedge
After Patti's shoot, I went over to my nieces house and spent a few hours with my Great-Niece. I missed you. I love you LeLe. I know Auntie Deedge hasn't been around much but I promise I won't ever go that long without seeing you ever again.
When you were born, I was there...
When you were two weeks old, I was there...
When you were a month, I was there...
But then some time passed... I missed your first smile, your first 'talk'.
And then some more time passed. I missed your first 'toofies' You didn't recognize me at first but you couldn't stop staring for the longest time. You wouldn't come to me but after 20 minutes you wanted your Auntie Deedge. Love you kiddo!
Your Mama use to do this face!

The Palmers - May 23rd 2010
On Sunday I met up with the Suchada, Todd, their two gorgeous daughters and the grandmother. Suchada (mom) told me that she already told the girls that I would be taking their pictures and to make sure to smile but not to pose! Everytime I called their names, they would stop and smile then move on. I had a wonderful time with your family and hope to meet again soon.
Does this not scream GAP?
Oops, snuck in a pose!

Meghan & Jason- Maternity Session
On May 15th I met up with Meghan and Jason for my first official and successful maternity session. Harkness Park in Waterford, CT is absolutely stunning! I hope to return sometime soon. Before the session, I warned them that my previous two scheduled shoots never happened due to both mothers going into labor early. Before the end of the session, little B was moving and rolling around but he stayed put! It was very amusing and I am happy to say that as of June 1st, Little Britton was born!
Meghan was a trooper and actually hopped on this little pedestal for a statue shot.
The T-shirt says "I'm a miracle"
We headed over to the beach for some hopefully fun 'Meghan in the ocean' shots but alas. We could not make our way to the water wihout a mile trek through the sand. Maybe next time!

Johnathan- April 25th 2010
My husband and I met up with some friends of ours who had their little surprise miracle baby Johnathan! Boy, did this little guy like to sleep and eat.. sleep.. and eat. We couldn't get him to sleep long enough until we broke out the heater and it was sleepy heaven... However the rest of us were boiling!
This being my second newborn shoot, I had a lot of fun with it and was free to do just about anything. With the help of the parents, the two kids and my husband, it made life easy! Thank you Robert and Sheryl!
Cue the awes...
I told you he liked to sleep ;)
